At Ronald McDonald House Temple, we provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare. Here in Temple, that means an 18-bedroom home away from home and a Family Room inside McLane Children’s Hospital — at little or no cost to families.

Families with seriously ill or injured children often stay in the Temple area for extended periods. The Ronald McDonald House of Temple offers a “home-away-from-home” at little or no cost, keeping families close to their hospitalized child — 18 family bedrooms and plenty of amenities that provide a caring, comfortable atmosphere.
Our House is built on the simple idea that families shouldn’t worry about where to stay, eat, or rest when their child is in the hospital. Volunteers and donors make our work possible; families either stay for free or are asked to contribute $20 per day if possible.
Since 1986, the House has been purpose-built, expanded, and cared for by this community — civic leaders, physicians, McDonald’s owner/operators, and thousands of volunteers.
Volunteer, share a meal, host a fundraiser, or give — every act of kindness keeps a family close to the care their child needs.
