Our cornerstone program: a home away from home at little or no cost, keeping families close to their hospitalized child. Eighteen private bedrooms, home-cooked meals, laundry, transportation to the hospital, and the comfort of other families who understand.
Located on the first floor of Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Hospital, the Family Room is a place to rest and regroup just steps from a child’s bedside — open 365 days a year to local families and traveling families alike.
Families with a child 21 or younger being treated at a Temple-area hospital, who live more than 25 miles away, may be referred to the House by their hospital case manager or social worker. Learn about eligibility, the referral process, and what to expect during your stay.
